Breakfast

Here is the typical (nearly identical) breakfast I am served every morning at my host-mother's appartment....

Needless to say, I eat it all... Including the cans of herring and liverwurst, the radishes and tomatoes...(kidding)

Hmmmmm....

I saw this guy in Augustplatz and tried to get a good picture of him in action before I got on the Straßenbahn. Unfortunately it didn't happen... He looked pretty tired after hopping around for a few hops! Those bikes are ones you can rent and they are found all over town... I guess you just pick them up and drop them off wherever... The lady just wants to get on the train and go home....

Part entryway for the newspaper, part sculpture... or maybe just an illusion?

Hmmmm...

Announcement

For the viewing pleasure of our audience (if there is one) This blog will no longer be in French and German. I'm going truly international: English.

If that breaks your heart, cry me a river.

Our program took a trip to Dresden yesterday. We visited Pullnitz, an interesting palace/botanical garden, and then took a Mississississippi-style boat down river (die Elbe) to Dresden.

I took a bike ride on Satruday to Grimma (where they actually have hills!) and rode across this river.
